WELLINGTON, Fla., March 29 - In an evening full of thrills and spills, Laura Chapot of Neshanic Station, N.J., claimed victory in the $75,000 Penta Water Grand Prix held Saturday night under the lights during the CN Winter Equestrian Festival, presented by Zimmerman Advertising, at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center.
A total of 56 entries entered the International Arena to tackle the track set by FEI 'I' course designer Anthony D'Ambrosio of Red Hook, N.Y.

WELLINGTON, Fla., March 23 - Canada's Ian Millar rode In Style to victory in the $75,000 Suncast Grand Prix CSI2* held Sunday, March 23, to conclude the CSI2* Suncast Corporation, presented by Equestrian Club by Tavern on the Green, of the CN Winter Equestrian Festival at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center.
A rain delay interrupted the grand prix competition for approximately 45 minutes but that did not stop 13 riders in total from jumping clear.

WELLINGTON, Fla. Mar. 20--When Ashley Holzer's nine-year-old son, Harry, heard that the Canadian rider was seeking a berth in her third Olympics, he said, "You'd better give it your all, Mom. It may be your last chance."
Although she's 44 years of age--definitely not "old" for Olympic equestrians but she admits to a nine-year-old it may seem that way--Holzer and her 11-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding Pop Art gave it their all on Thursday in the Grand Prix

WELLINGTON, Fla., March 20 - In a starting field filled with veterans, it was 18-year-old Ali Wolff of New Albany, Ohio, who emerged victorious in Thursday's $30,000 WEF Challenge Cup Round IX held during the CSI2* Suncast Corporation, presented by Equestrian Club by Tavern on the Green, of the CN Winter Equestrian Festival at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center.
Staged in the DeNemethy Arena for the first time as dressage takes center stage in the International Arena this week, the $30,000 WEF Challenge Cup Round IX attracted 36 entries.

Featuring the largest Grand Prix purse on offer during the 12-week CN Winter Equestrian Festival, the $200,000 CN WorldWide Grand Prix attracted the best horses and riders from North America and around the world.

WELLINGTON, Fla., March 13 - Beezie Madden of Cazenovia, N.Y., proved why she is one of the best riders in the world by winning the $30,000 WEF Challenge Cup Round VIII held Thursday, March 13, during week nine, the CSI4*-W CN WorldWide, of the CN Winter Equestrian Festival at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center.
Of the 70 horses that lined up for Thursday's featured event, nine left all the rails in place to advance to the jump-off over the track set by Olympic course designer Leopoldo Palacios.

WELLINGTON, Fla., March 9 - Kent Farrington of Chicago, Ill., won the $150,000 CN US Open Jumping Championship, presented by Cosequin, during the CSIO5* CN Wellington Open, week eight of the CN Winter Equestrian Festival at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center.
The competition, which also acted as the fifth and final United States Show Jumping Team Selection Trial for the 2008 Olympic Games, presented by Equine Motor Coach and Hong Kong Tourism, saw Laura Kraut of Wellington, Fla., emerge the winner.

WELLINGTON, Fla., March 7 - The United States claimed victory in the $75,000 FEI Nations' Cup, presented by CN, held Friday night during the CSIO5* CN Wellington Open, week eight of the CN Winter Equestrian Festival, at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center.
The only Nations' Cup team competition held in the United States, this year's competition attracted teams from a record nine countries. Canada was the two-time defending champion, but it was the United States, who last claimed victory in 2003, that emerged victorious with a two-round total of nine faults.

WELLINGTON, Fla., March 7 - Heavy thunderstorms which prompted the rescheduling of Thursday night's $30,000 WEF Challenge Cup Round VII gave way to sunny skies on Friday morning for the 8 a.m. start of the competition, which also acted as the fourth United States Show Jumping Team Selection Trial for the 2008 Olympic Games.
Eric Lamaze of Schomberg, Ontario, Canada, won the class while Laura Kraut of Wellington, Fla., maintained her position at the top of the Selection Trial standings during the CSIO5* CN Wellington Open, week eight of the CN Winter Equestrian Festival, at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center.

WELLINGTON, Fla., March 2 - A tough day of show jumping saw Will Simpson of Thousand Oaks, Calif., emerge the winner of the $100,000 Zada Enterprises Masters Cup, which acted as a World Cup Qualifying event. It was also the second United States Show Jumping Team Selection Trial for the 2008 Olympic Games, which Jeffrey Welles of Brewster,N.Y., now leads with the only perfect score followed closely by Laura Kraut and Cedric who have one fault.
A total of 67 horse-rider combinations attempted the track designed by Christa Heibach of Germany but only three produced clear rounds to advance to the jump-off.

WELLINGTON, Fla., Feb. 28 - Lauren Hough took one step closer to her goal of once again representing her country in Olympic competition when she won Thursday night's $30,000 WEF Challenge Cup Series Round VI, the first United States Show Jumping Team Selection Trial for the 2008 Olympic Games.
Held under lights and on the same footing that will be used at the equestrian portion of the Olympic Games in Hong Kong, the International Arena mimicked the conditions that horses and athletes will face in August.

WELLINGTON, Fla., Feb. 24 - Canada's Eric Lamaze won his second Sunday grand prix of the season by scoring victory in the $75,000 Palm Beach Equine Clinic/Adequan Grand Prix held Sunday, February 24 rated a CSI3* by the International Equestrian Federation (FEI), of the CN Winter Equestrian Festival at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center.

WELLINGTON, Fla., Feb. 21 - For the second week in a row, Hillary Dobbs of Sussex, N.J., and Corlett won Thursday's $30,000 WEF Challenge Cup Series at the CN Winter Equestrian Festival at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center.

WELLINGTON, Fla., Feb. 17 - A veteran rider and his rookie horse teamed up to score victory in the $60,000 Kilkenny International Cup Grand Prix CSI3* on Sunday at the CN Winter Equestrian Festival,
Mac Cone of King City, Ont., the only rider to have competed for both the U.S. and Canadian Equestrian Teams, led the victory gallop aboard Ole, competing in his first 1.60m Grand Prix, at the conclusion of Sunday's Grand Prix.

WELLINGTON, Fla., Feb. 10 - Olympic Champion Rodrigo Pessoa of Brazil rode Rufus to victory in the $60,000 Spy Coast Farm Grand Prix on Sunday, February 10, during week four of the 12-week CN Winter Equestrian Festival at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center.
A total of 48 horses attempted the track set by 2008 Olympic co-course designer Steve Stephens of Palmetto, Fla., with 14 successfully solving the test to advance to the jump-off.
